Classical Five-Element Acupuncture: Beginning the Journey™
A two-day seminar with Professor Neil Gumenick, M.Ac. (UK), C.T.(A), L.Ac., Dipl.Ac.
October 16-17, 2010 in Vancouver, BC
Classical Five-Element Acupuncture, in the Worsley tradition, is one of the most complete, comprehensive, and far-reaching systems of medicine in the world. You will not be able to fully practice this system after one weekend, but you will learn to identify and resolve potentially life-threatening energetic blocks, any of which, until removed, will hinder or prevent your patient from getting well. You will learn to develop and use your senses, pulse taking, and rapport skills as powerful diagnostic tools, and you will come to understand and manage your patients in a whole new way.
NCCAOM Approved for 15 CEUs/PDAs

Ripening the Fruit: Gestational Care and Support of Mother and Child with TCM
with Dr. David A. Bray, CMD, D.Ac., Dipl. C.H. (NCCAOM)
October 30-31, 2010 in Calgary, Alberta
Focusing on gestational care and support, this exciting workshop is the first of its kind!
Most fertility lectures focus solely on conception, but ignore the remaining nine months. Dr. Bray addresses this gap, teaching how to help sustain the healthy progression of a normal pregnancy. Utilizing TCM theories in embryology and fetal development, Dr. Bray will teach the easy and practical use of herbology and acupuncture to enhance maternal health during pregnancy to benefit the mother and developing baby. Postpartum care and support will also be covered.
This is the first of a series of workshops, and will be the prerequisite for future workshops on TCM approaches/strategies for pathological or abnormal conditions that can arise during pregnancy.
