AFCI AA2 Student Package

This package is for you if you are registered for CAFCI AA2.

This package is designed for students of the CAFCI AA2 training and who previously took the AA1 training before specific books for the courses were mandatory. We’ve grouped the two required books together for a special discounted price. Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Presented in 18 chapters, this book begins with a brief history, followed by a discussion of yin-yang and the five phases, a review of the zang fu, and extraordinary fu and their interrelationships, a discourse on qi, blood and body fluids, a description of the meridians and collaterals, and location of the acupuncture points.

Theoretical discussions include etiology and pathogenesis, diagnostic methods, differentiation of syndromes, and acupuncture techniques. Treatment information includes moxibustion and cupping, general principles of acupuncture treatment, internal diseases, and gynecological diseases. There is a supplementary section on ear acupuncture and anesthesia, a bibliography, a cross-index of acupuncture points, and an index. The book incorporates the experience of teaching classes of Western physicians as well as clinical practice and acupuncture research. The information retains the characteristic features of traditional acupuncture and stresses the integration of theory and practice.

This is the official revision of Essentials of Chinese Acupuncture used by the International Acupuncture Training Centers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Nanjing.

A Manual of Neuro-Anatomical Acupuncture – Volume 2: Neurological Disorders

Volume Two deals with neurological disorders. Separate chapters describe the clinical anatomy of the head, the face, and the cranial nerves. Chapters on head pain, stroke, Parkinsonism, MS, Alzheimers, CP, spasticity, peripheral neuropathies, and spinal cord disorders denote etiology and pathogenesis and symptoms and signs for each condition. Acupuncture treatment point formularies are presented in tables that list point and action. Further chapters present discussions and acupuncture treatments for reflex sympathetic dystropy, Raynaud’s disease, and acupuncture control of the ANS.

There are extensive clearly labelled line drawings throughout the text. These texts are particularly useful selections for practitioners of nerve-based approaches to using the acupuncture points.
