Janice Walton-Hadlock explains the electrical influences that create all the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease: symptoms eerily similar to those of “biological dissociation,” a rarely used but perfectly normal neurological state that occurs when a person has received a mortal wound, has excessive loss of blood, is verging on death – OR has decided that it is necessary or logical, in certain circumstances, to dissociate from an injury or from emotions, to “play dead in the heart,” rather than suffer pain or risk actual death. This neurologic mode automatically inhibits the release of striatal (brain) dopamine.

The practice of dissociating from “feeling” on command has serious consequences: over decades, the brain becomes adept at what it is told to practice. When a person tires of using a constant fight-or-flight override to maintain mobility and thus mask his underlying, increasingly habitual, biological dissociation, the symptoms that we call Parkinson’s disease begin to appear.

Only by combining her knowledge of Chinese medicine, which maps the ever-changing, thought-driven electrical schematics that run over every cell in the body, driving and integrating all inner- and extra-cellular function, with her years of study of western medicine, modern psychology, and the new findings regarding brain plasticity, was she able to put together all the puzzle pieces.
