Cosmetic acupuncture follows the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, using the meridians in the body that either end or begin in the face to stimulate and balance energy, while also treating the underlying factors that contribute to the aging process. Cosmetic acupuncture can be performed on someone at any age; starting in a person’s 20’s or 30’s it can be used a preventative measure, and in their 40’s or later it can be used therapeutically and correctively.
Facial acupuncture works by piercing the skin with tiny dermal needles, resulting in “positive” microtraumas that increase circulation to the face, and boost the production of collagen and elastin to tighten skin. Cosmetic acupuncture is the ultimate anti-aging treatment because it balances our internal systems while simultaneously boosting the health and appearance of the skin.
Including facial acupuncture as a part of your service offerings in your clinic is an excellent way to broaden your client base as it can benefit everyone, people will often see results after just a few treatments, and treatments are covered under many extended health care plans.
Eastern Currents works with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield to provide comprehensive training in facial acupuncture protocols to practitioners. We are planning to run Mary Elizabeth Wakefield's new protocols course in Vancouver, BC on October 16-20, 2015.
In order to make running this course viable, we need a minimum of 35 committed participants. If you would like to attend this course in the Fall of 2015, please fill out the form below - we will contact you when the dates are finalized and confirm your interest in registering.
