Traditionally, the practitioner uses an ignited cotton ball to consume the air in the cup just before it is placed on the skin. The negative pressure draws the skin into the cup, where blood and fluids are brought just below the surface. This process, like the Gua Sha techniques, mobilizes the metabolism and promotes circulation. As a result, cupping is used to regulate the flow of qi and blood and to draw out TCM pathogenic factors such as Wind, Cold and Damp. We have both glass cups and plastic cups/pumps.

New additions to our webstore include Silicone and rubber cups, as well as specialty cups. Please click on the correpsonding category below to learn more.
