Stick Moxa is perhaps one of the most popular forms of moxa therapy. The moxa wool is rolled or compressed into a cigar-shaped form, making it easy for the practitioner to direct the burning ember over a very specific area.
Variations of the common Stick Moxa include Smokeless Moxa (which is a proprietary blend of moxa and herbs charcoalized to make it virtually smokeless when burned) and Sook Moxa sticks (used in Tiger warmers) made from a blend of wormwood, mugwort, and sagebrush which when heated produce the pleasant scent of burning wood.

MAY 2019: IMPORTANT UPDATE ON MOXA PRODUCTS - PLEASE READ: Recently, our shipment of moxa products was stopped at the border and rejected by Health Canada. The reason for the refusal of entry into Canada was the decision that moxa products are considered to be natural health products and require licensing. We disagree with this, as moxa has been traditionally used as a therapeutic heating tool prior to there being electricity. Unfortunately, as we go through the appeal process, we will be unable to import moxa products and you may experience a delay in products being available. Should you like to address your concerns about the status of moxa products directly with Health Canada, you can submit your comments to ingredient_support@hc-sc.gc.ca
