The whole Cycle of Addiction's ability to perpetuate itself hangs in the balance: Do I hold on or do I let go? The decision made here in Metal will determine if one finally steps off of the Cycle or plants the seeds for another painful go-around.
Course Overview
This online course is part of a comprehensive program, which provides a clear, holistic treatment model for addictions using TCM. This segment is Course 8 of 10 and contains Lessons 37-41 of the 52 Lesson program. Each Lesson is comprised of an engaging PDF workbook, three videos, two audios with experiential exercises, a client summary and notes for the practitioner.
In this Course we explore Metal’s role in the Cycle of Addiction. Specifically we examine how Grief is a powerful emotion that influences one’s perceptions of forgiveness, expression and all of their attachments.

As with all of the Courses in the Alchemist Recovery Program, you'll be guided step-by-step in holistic ways to treat addiction. You will be able to put these concepts immediately into practice, integrate them with your own personal methods and offer them to your clients - either as a way to enhance your private and group sessions or to keep them engaged between office visits.

Outline

Lesson 37: Addicted to Your Story. The deepest wounds that a client experiences are ones that perpetuate over and over through the telling of Their Story. This must end for success to occur.
1 hrs - 2 hrs
Lesson 38: Forgiveness-Part 1. Forgiving another person is a powerful act of release. Clients often need help in making this happen.
2 hrs - 3 hrs
Lesson 39: Forgiveness-Part 2. Forgiving one's self is a powerful act of release. Clients often need help in making this happen.
3 hrs - 4 hrs
Lesson 40: The Well of Grief. Metal's emotion of Grief has a lot more to it than the oversimplified version we display here in the West. One's relationship to Grief must change and become deeper, healthier for recovery to be meaningful & successful.
4 hrs - 5 hrs
Lesson 41: What's Your Capacity? Often a client's primary goal of using is to numb the pain they feel. When they stop using, they often don't know how to start feeling again or are afraid to do so. Let's fix this.
