We have an employment opportunity at Eastern Currents! We are looking for a Customer Service Agent to work with our team in South Vancouver.

This full-time position is suitable for an individual passionate about the natural health industry and wants to join our successful small, industry-leading distribution and manufacturing company.

Who we are:

A leading Canadian Distributor and manufacturer of natural health products and medical devices for practitioners for over 30 years, with a focus on Traditional Chinese Medicine. We are one of the largest Canadian companies in our sector with a reputation for quality products and services and customer support. Our office/warehouse is located at South Granville, Vancouver, under the Oak St. Bridge. We are close to Marine Drive Station on the Canada Line of Metro Vancouver’s SkyTrain rapid transit system, so we are easily accessible by public transit.

Job Details:

The successful candidate will work out of our office in Vancouver, BC

• Full time position — Monday to Friday 8.00am — 4.00pm

• Some warehouse experience preferred, however not necessary.

• Enjoy the family atmosphere of a small entrepreneurial business

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and process orders
• Assist practitioners in maintaining their clinic supplies and inform them of new products and services as they occur.
• Respond to customer questions, provide information and support on products, and redirect calls to the appropriate staff member for assistance as required.
• Customer outreach – contact customers regarding accounts and new products
• Walk-in Customers – Assist customers that come to the Eastern Currents office
• Periodically attend tradeshows showcasing products (some travel may be required)

 

Required Skills, Qualities and Abilities:

• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Ability to converse and write Mandarin, an asset
• A strong interest in the Natural Health Industry
• Experience in the Natural Health Industry, an asset
• Experience with Sage, an asset
• Quick learner
• Experience in a customer service role, an asset
• Great interpersonal skills and a team player
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong ability to multi task while remaining detail oriented
