What is Net of Knowledge?
Net of Knowledge is an exciting new continuing education platform built specifically for TCM and integrative health practitioners. We are a global partnership of companies who have come together for a common mission: to support practitioners like you in your pursuit of knowledge and growth. We bring you the brightest teachers from around the world in an engaging digital environment, so you can keep giving more to the patients and communities you support.

How is Net of Knowledge different from EC Learning?
Net of Knowledge is a standalone learning platform that has been created from the ground up by Eastern Currents. Over the 10 years that we have been providing continuing education, we have heard a lot of feedback from practitioners like you. We realized that no other company could provide what we needed to truly give you the learning environment you want and deserve - to do that, we had to build it ourselves!

We partnered with other industry leaders around the world to bring you the brightest teachers from far and wide and to create a learning network that will continue to nourish and support you in the valuable work that you do.

What’s happening to EC Learning?
All of the courses we have available on EC Learning are being transferred over to the Net of Knowledge platform. Each and every one of your active courses that you purchased through EC Learning will be waiting right for you in your Net of Knowledge Learner Account.

You’ll keep buying courses the same way you always did, but now, instead of watching them on the store website, you can head on over to to watch them there in a superior digital environment. If you’re not a Canadian customer, there’s a good chance we have a partner in your region, and you’ll be directed to head on over to your local provider to buy Net of Knowledge courses there.

Why are you changing your name?
We’re the same team behind it, but to better reflect our vision and direction, we needed to give our learning platform a new name. It is no longer just a branch of Eastern Currents, but is being presented through trusted partner sites worldwide. We wanted a name that would inspire practitioners in their quest for knowledge, and evoke the feeling of the shared global learning community we are after.

What’s better about the new site?
We are confident that you are going to love the new learner experience on the new Net of Knowledge platform - and these changes are just the beginning. Right now, you’ll be able to enjoy new features such as:

I notice you are now giving the option to purchase online courses either with or without CEUs. Why?
To support your continuous self-development, we wanted to make it easier for you to keep learning from the teachers you love, even when you don’t need the CEUs. A lot of time goes into making the quiz and certificate applications for a course - if you don’t need it, why pay for it?

If you see a course you’re interested in, but aren’t sure if you need it towards your CEUs, just purchase the ‘Course Only’ option, and start learning right away! If you decide you need the CEUs at a later time, you can purchase the CEU add-on then.


What's happened to my existing EC Learning courses?

Do not fear! We have transferred all of your current courses and certificates over to the Net of Knowledge platform. If you happened to be in the middle of a course while we made the transition, you’ll simply be able to complete your course on the new platform. In rare circumstances, you may find that the course you've purchased isn't ready to view just yet - hold tight, we are working hard to ensure it's ready for you as fast as we can. If you're having issues accessing a course, drop us an email and we'll get back to you right away.
Your username will be your email address that you purchased the courses with. Don’t worry about trying to track that down - just check your inbox for an email from Net of Knowledge that will help you set up your account, including configuring your password and preferences.

Why do I have to go to a separate site to access
my courses?

The needs of a learning website are very different than one where you go to shop. In order to accommodate all of the features you have requested over the years, we had to make Net of Knowledge a standalone site. What’s most exciting is that, since we coded it ourselves, we have the full control to add new features and adapt it as we grow. The sky is the limit. Give it a try and let us know if you have any bright ideas!

Will I still have lifetime access?

Yes, your lifetime access to courses will continue. (Courses you have that are due to expire will keep the same expiry date on the new platform.)

What steps do I need to take to access my courses on
the new site?

Your account is ready and waiting for you with the email address that you originally used to purchase courses from EC Learning. You will receive an email prompting you to visit to create a password for your account. After we launch, if you did not receive this email, please be sure to check your junk mail folder, and if you still haven’t found it, reach out to us and we’ll help you out. All you will need to do is create a new secure password.

Will my EC Learning certificates be accepted by CEU
providers now that the name has changed?

Yes, existing certificates that you have that say “EC Learning” will still be accepted by the CEU providers, for a period of up to 2 years.

I haven’t printed out my certificates yet. Can I still
access them on the new platform?

We’ve moved over certificates on all active and lifetime courses. Once you've created your new password, log into and visit your course page to download and print them off. If you need a certificate from an expired course that did not transfer over, please send us an email and we can help get that to you.

Why can’t I keep purchasing e-learning courses from
Eastern Currents if I’m in the US, UK, Europe, or Australia?

We have chosen to partner with companies around the globe who share the same values as us, and who can also provide a high quality online shopping experience. We are thrilled to announce that Net of Knowledge has partnered with the following industry leaders:

How do I buy Net of Knowledge courses?

Purchasing Net of Knowledge courses is easy. If you're in Canada, you can continue to buy courses through Eastern Currents - then you'll simply log in to the Net of Knowledge platform to view them. When you check out, any courses in your cart will be automatically added in your Net of Knowledge account.

If you live outside of Canada, please visit the Net of Knowledge partner in your area to purchase your courses:

After purchase, you'll simply log in to the Net of Knowledge platform to view your course(s).  

Will I be able to buy Net of Knowledge courses directly
from Net of Knowledge?

No, Net of Knowledge does not sell courses directly. We wanted to keep the learning experience completely separate, and left the selling up to our partners. When you go to the Net of Knowledge website you will be prompted to visit the partner store in your region, or closest to you. After purchase, all learners from around the globe access their courses on the central Net of Knowledge website.

How will I create a Net of Knowledge account?

If you have never purchased an online course from EC Learning, then your Net of Knowledge account is created automatically when you buy your first course. If you have active or current courses with EC Learning, then be sure to check your inbox (spam & junk mail too), for an email from Net of Knowledge prompting you to create a new password for your account. There is no way to sign up for an account directly on the Net of Knowledge website.

How will I gain access to my courses?

All learning purchases on Eastern Currents (and other partner sites) will be made available to you on Net of Knowledge automatically. Please allow a few minutes for the transfer to happen, but in most cases, it should be instant. We use your email address that you made the purchase with to link up to your account (in most cases, this is the same address as your web-store username).

If it’s your first purchase, you will receive a Welcome email in addition to your Purchase Confirmation, where you can find a link to set up your account. For all purchases afterwards, you’ll just receive the confirmation email and you can log right in to Net of Knowledge to start watching whenever you’re ready.

What information is transferred to
Net of Knowledge when I make a purchase?

When you buy an online learning product in our webstore we send your First Name, Last Name, Email, and Country over to the Net of Knowledge system, along with a list of the course products you bought. Your email address is used by us to notify you when we successfully grant you course access, and to create your account, when you first buy your course with Net of Knowledge.

How is my data protected?

We use a secure and encrypted transfer when sending your purchase details over to the Net of Knowledge server. Your email will never be shared (unless it is with the same partner who you made your purchase from if something goes wrong with the order process), and we only send you emails for purchase transactions or notifications you specifically request within the Net of Knowledge platform.

How do I log in to the new site?

To log in to for the very first time, you will need to click the link in your Welcome email and set up your password. (The Welcome email is sent to you automatically when you make your first purchase. If you don’t receive it within 10 minutes, please be sure to check your junk mail folder, and then contact us for help.) 

If you are returning to, simply click “Sign In” at the top of the page, and you will be directed to sign in. Input your username (the email address that you use to shop at Eastern Currents), and your newly set password, and away you go!

What steps do I need to take after I’ve created my account?

After you’ve created your account, you will be able to log in and start watching courses right away. Before you can take any steps towards getting your CEUs / PDAs, you will need to complete your account setup.

In your Net of Knowledge account, please navigate to “My Account > Profile” to input the remaining details. Here you can adjust your name how you’d like it to display on your certificate, select your governing body, and add your license number. Please note, you will not be able to get course certificates until these steps are complete.

What happens to my Net of Knowledge account
if I change my email address on Eastern Currents?

Because your email is used to link up purchases, your Net of Knowledge email will need to stay the same as the email you use to shop with. If you’re planning on changing your shopping account email address, please reach out to us on Net of Knowledge first - before making your next online learning purchase - and we can help migrate your account to the new email address. If you don’t let us know beforehand, you will end up with a second account!

Who do I contact now if I have a problem or questions?

For all learning matters, please log in to and send us a message in our support section. If you do not have an account yet, or are having trouble accessing your account for the first time, please email and we will get you set up in no time. If you are having difficulty purchasing a course from your partner’s webstore, please reach out to them directly.


What browsers do you support?

We support and test on all major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Edge, and mobile browsers. Unfortunately, some of our software is not compatible with Internet Explorer, so we recommend picking one of the above browsers to learn with. Please ensure that your browser is up-to-date at the latest version!

Will I be able to more easily watch my courses on my phone?

Yes! Our website and courses are compatible with mobile devices without the need for additional apps or hacks. Some older devices may have trouble watching videos in general, but we do our best to provide a simple mobile experience that can be easily viewed on most devices. Think of our platform like a fancy website - if you can see most modern web pages without issue on your phone, it should be able play our courses just fine!

How do I print my certificate?

Before you can print your certificate, a few requirements must be met. You will need to watch your course, pass a quiz, and fill out a survey. Some governing bodies require that you also complete a worksheet. These options will become available depending on what governing body you have selected in your account.

To print your certificate, you will need to have filled out your learner Profile, providing your name, governing body, and license number. If any of these pieces are missing the certificate will not be accessible.

Why do I need to take a quiz and complete program
evaluations to get my certificate?

These pieces are required by most governing bodies to demonstrate that you have participated in a course and met its learning objectives. We must maintain records of these in case certificates are ever audited.

How long is “Lifetime Access”?

Any of our Lifetime Access courses will be available to you for as long as we’ve got them up and running on our platform. While it is not common, sometimes we need to remove courses from the site. If this ever happens to one of your courses, we will give you ample advance notice. Otherwise, you can go back to review and enjoy them over the years!

I struggle with technology, and have very limited computer
use - have you done anything to make this easier for me?

We’ve done our best to make our technology as user-friendly and intuitive as possible. If something isn’t clear for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out for our help.

How long do I have to complete the certificate for a course
that I have purchased?

You have 1 year from the date of purchase to complete the requirements for CEUs, but you have unlimited access to the recording for the purpose of reviewing the material for as long as the course is on the Net of Knowledge website. During the first year, you must download and save a copy of your certificate. A few courses are excluded from the lifetime access as per the speaker's request, so be sure to check the course descriptions before you purchase your course.

Why do I have to pay for an online course with a credit card?

We only accept payment by credit card for online courses - this is because you get instant access to the course once purchased. To protect the work of our teachers, we require payment up front for all recorded courses.

What is your cancellation or refund policy on recorded webinars/online courses?

We do not offer refunds for our recorded online courses/webinars. We try to provide you with as much information about a course beforehand, so you can commit to a purchase with confidence.
