Course Overview

After 40 years of treating peripheral neuropathy (PN), I developed a 5 point (10 needle) protocol for PN in the feet and lower legs and a 3 point (6 needle) protocol for PN in the hands and lower arms as well as a protocol for how to stimulate these points. Videos of actual treatments will be shown.

You will learn a key to achieving high success rates is the correct spacing of treatments throughout the three stages of the treatment process.

You will also learn about the impressive research showing that acupuncture can spark nerve regeneration - something no other treatment can do.

Successfully completing this course will provide you the opportunity be part of the campaign to raise awareness about acupuncture for treating PN and provide you the option to enroll in a database of acupuncturists trained in these protocols. Proceeds from the sale of this course will be used to promote acupuncture for PN and generate referrals to the acupuncturists in this database.

You will learn:

(1) Details of the four main types of PN.

(2) Explaining the treatment process using research.

(3) Selecting the correct needle gauge.

(4) Stimulating each point for its therapeutic and diagnostic abilities.

(5) Spacing treatments throughout the entire treatment process.

(6) Ending the treatment process so that the patient’s progress is as stable as possible.

(7) How to explain to patients when they need to return for tune-up treatments or a second series of treatments.

Very complete class including, definition of the types of PN, specific point selection and technique with videos (a real plus) as well as a complete discussion about treatment dosage, and a balanced informed review of the literature

  • Mihi L. (Australia)

I found Mathew to be an excellent lecturer, who knows his stuff

  • Amanda N. (United States of America)

I highly recommend this course. PN can be difficult to treat without an understanding of needling techniques, timing and number of treatments and point/needle selection. This courses makes all these pieces clear and easy to bring into my own clinic day one.

A great course to consider taking - Matt doesn't just go through treatment protocols but also the research he and John have compiled. Really useful both clinically and when speaking with patients or those in the medical profession.

I am more than impressed with this course and am now inspired to take on PN when I have avoided it and referred out in the past! Thank you very much:)

This class was absolutely wonderful- I have already begun to use it! Thank you for being so methodical and thorough! This class is truly a gift to our patients and our profession!

This is a clear and simple approach to helping patients with PN. I have several patients who I will be using this protocol on this week and look forward to seeing results. The material presented was concise and convincing. I especially liked video demonstrations that were used with feedback from subjects as they felt sensations. You could hear the excitement and hope in the voices of people who'd been living with significant numbness over long periods of time. Very hopeful. Amazing that acupuncture can help with regeneration of nerves! Susan Mc, USA
