TeWa Non-Coated needles:
- Are great for practitioners who use direct moxa, or have patients with an allergy to silicone.
- Are bi-metallic, composed of a stainless steel shaft and a traditional copper-wound loop handle. The copper handle provides excellent conductivity for electro-stim. Needle tips are ground by automated machines, thereby ensuring perfect needle tip consistency.
- Each needle 40mm (1.5″) and longer is packaged in a Safe-T Sleeve™, the world’s first two-part guide tube. The Safe-T Sleeve™ was created to solve the problems that arise when inserting longer needles into dense or tight tissue – namely the potential bowing of the needle and difficulty stabilizing the needle shaft. Now you can use the Safe-T Sleeve™ to help complete insertion to the target depth – all without compromising the sterility of the needle shaft.
The tab colour will vary depending on the gauge size
Electro-Stimulation and Acupuncture needles:
While the risk of needle breakage during electro-acupuncture is very low, scientific research and data from Korean and Chinese sources indicate that electrostimulation should not be applied to needles 0.18 mm or thinner. During electrostimulation, these finer needles may be more susceptible to shaft fatigue, coating stress, and corrosion—particularly if the coating integrity is compromised. Although electrostimulation remains safe across a wide range of clinical scenarios, this precautionary notice aligns with international safety guidelines and supports the continued commitment to high standards of care and patient safety.
