Course Overview

In this advanced course, Susan Johnson discusses various clinical applications of Tung's Points. For those that are new to Tung's Points, you may want to take the Beginning Series beforehand, but it is not absolutely necessary, and not required.   • Students will learn different ways to identify head, facial, and mouth conditions and treat them with specific points.

  • Students will learn how to identify exact points to treat specific conditions.

  • To provide practitioners with a clear understanding of differential diagnosis and treatment protocols in relation to Tung's Points.

  • To help students understand the energetic ways in which point patterns can be intelligently combined to enhance a treatment.


  • 0 hrs - 30 min

    Using 4 Horses for sinus/nose/skin conditions; treatment of nosebleeds, itchy allergies; the importance of using tonifying after the use of cold herbs like Yin Chiao, to tonify a patient's immunity; treatment of ear pain, mouth and tongue/teeth diseases; recorded discussion on mouth ulcers and canker sores.

  • 30 min - 1 hrs

    Use of Heart Passing Points and its relationship to blood pressure; recorded discussion on MS, daily alcohol consumption, regulating the heart rate; determining the patient's response to treatment; treatment of sacral pain, high cholesterol, and treating childhood sickness.

  • 1 hrs - 1.5 hrs

    Treatment of facial paralysis; recorded discussion on Bell's palsy; treatment of sore throat; recorded discussion on upper limb diseases, finger numbness, Shao Yang neck pain, shoulder pain, rashes; treatment of mumps.

  • 1.5 hrs - 2 hrs

    Treatment of chronic swollen tonsils, shingles in the eye; recorded discussion on classic formula for cleaning toxins; treatment of hypertension, finger pain, hand soreness, rheumatoid arthritis, difficulty grasping.

A graduate of the ACTCM, Susan Johnson, L.Ac., has been practicing TCM for over 30 years. She studied extensively with Drs. Miriam Lee and Young Wei Chieh, and teaches Tung's Points internationally.

    Some accreditation bodies have course approval expirations. If the approval expires, you will see a notice next to the name with a date of expiration: "[Until YYYY/MM/DD]". Please factor this date into your own renewal deadline. If an approval expires, you will be able to request that it is renewed and we will submit it for you within 2 business days. Renewals normally come back to us after 30 days.

    If your accreditation body is not listed under the "Approved" section, you may find it under the "Pending" section. That means that it is either currently pending approval, or that it is available for you to request: "[Upon Request]". New course approvals usually come back to us after 45 days.

    We use an automated system within our platform that allows you to make these requests in an easy and convenient way. Just visit the course page in your Net of Knowledge account and click the "Request Approval" button at the top.

    Each "Course and CEUs/CPDs" purchase grants you 1 request per accreditation body. If you request a course approval and do not complete it before its new expiration date, you will need to purchase another "CEU/CPD Add-On" to make another request.

    If the course is ineligible for approval with an accreditation body due to their subject-matter policies, it will be listed as "[Ineligible]", and no requests will be possible for the course.
