March 18 to 21, 2027 | Vancouver, BC
Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver
Eastern Currents has passed the baton to the ATCMA to host the Qi Conference in 2026. The FLOW Symposium will return in March 2027 and will alternate years with the Qi Conference moving forward to provide Canadian and International practitioners the opportunity to earn their CEUs in beautiful Vancouver each year.
Come celebrate with us!
2025 marks 30 years of providing practitioners with reliable products, continuing education and friendly service. All of our growth and industry firsts would not have been possible without our dedicated staff and our customers.
With all this in mind, we wanted to make FLOW 2025 an extra special learning and celebratory event. We have invited Master Jeffery Yuen, a world-renowned TCM teacher, to spend two days of deep learning with us. We have chosen two exciting topics that are essential for all practitioners to deepen their awareness and sharpen their clinical acumen. No matter what skill level you are at, Master Yuen will provide layers of new information that will empower your diagnostic skills and offer additional tools to share with your patients.
In addition to our FLOW event, we are holding an EC birthday party! we will host a banquet and dance! This special event will feature great food and fun times, incredible prizes and time to hang out with your colleagues. We have some great surprises in store for attendees, and we hope to make it an event that will be talked about for years to come!
We hope to see you all there at this special event!
Sincerely,
John and Kelly

2 Days of Learning with Master Jeffrey Yuen
We are very excited and honoured to have Jeffrey Yuen agree to join us again in Vancouver and share his wisdom with us. Master Yuen speaks around the world and is in high demand. Thankfully, he was able to fit us in, and we know in part his decision to do so, was because of the great community of Canadian acupuncturists/TCM practitioners that welcome his teachings! Your love of learning classical medicine is what makes Vancouver a warm place to come and teach! After some discussion, we decided on one main teaching, followed by a shorter practical and participatory teaching to get us moving and practicing something after being sponges for two days.
See below for the descriptions of these topics. We are sure you will find them exciting and relevant. Learning how to read our patients (and ourselves) provides us with more options for treatment and long-term health optimization. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Saturday
7am -8 am Morning Qigong in-person only (1 CEU) Geha Gonthier
8:15 am – 9 am Welcome and Door Prizes!
9am – 5:30pm Chinese Constitutional Therapy (6.5 CEUs)
Chinese Constitutional Therapy Medicine, is based on the notion that “Ming-fate”, can be understood and even altered. This dramatic shift in a person’s life trajectory can be done by tapping directly into the “Jing-essence” of an individual and redirecting the dissemination of the Jing Qi (essential qi) from the San Jiao (Triple Warmer) mechanism. To fully understand this and the jing-essence, the clinician must gain insights into the client-patient’s “dong” or “moving qi”. This is reflected by their physiognomy and morphology. The face reflects how one is facing the world or, more importantly, facing themselves. Learn to read and interpret the indications that emerge in the patient’s body, either from the harmonious expression or the conflict associated with their “Xing” or “temperament”. These reactions to the inner and outer experiences of life shape your morphology, as conformed, or “deformed”, through one’s body shape and hands. By examining bodily forms and facial orientations (the rivers and mountains), clinicians can deepen their understanding of how the constitution provokes specific expressions, including illnesses.
This seminar on Chinese Constitutional Therapy explores, discusses, and demonstrates how to diagnose and evaluate these constitutional differences and their impact on illnesses, as well as how their rectification can influence healing.

Saturday 5:30 – 10:00 Party Time!
A gala Dinner and dance event. Regular price $150.00 – Our birthday price: $25.00 for attendees (included in the ticket price. Make sure you choose the option with the banquet ticket!) and $50.00 for a plus one (the plus one must accompany someone registered for the conference).
Join us for an evening of great food and mingling with friends and colleagues. Also, prizes and acknowledgements will be shared during the dinner to acknowledge how over EC’s 30 years, acupuncture/TCM as a profession has moved from an illegal “practicing medicine without a license” offence to a recognized and important player in the health choices of Canadians. All attendees will be eligible to win prizes of over $1000.00. No excuse to miss out on that! After dinner we have invited a surprise guest to get your Qi moving, your lips smiling, and your body grooving to fun tunes!
Sunday
7 am – 8 am Morning Qigong in person only (1 CEU) Geha Gonthier
8:15 am – 9 am Welcome and Door Prizes!
9 am to 5:30 pm: Continuation of Chinese Constitutional Therapy (4.5 CEUs) Breathe to Heal – (3:30 pm to 5:30 pm) (2 CEUs)
Breathing is quintessential for existence and the basis of life. Since breathing is done autonomically, many have developed patterns of breathing that are often a reflection of their lives — and as such, can be associated with one’s environment, stress, and diseases. Thus by being conscious and altering one’s breathing patterns, one can impact and improve their life and facilitate healing. This training will instruct practitioners on how to create a regime of breathing that can be tailored to their patients’ lifestyles and to optimize their health.

Geha Gonthier’s Biography
Born and raised in Austria, Geha Gonthier studied philosophy and holds a degree in movement therapy. Her journey into holistic health began in 1978 when she moved to New York and discovered Asian Medicine, studying shiatsu with Wataru Ohashi and being first introduced to Qi Gong. Over the years, she lived in many places, enriching her knowledge by studying massage therapy at the Swedish Institute in NY, aromatherapy at the Jera Institute in Vienna, the basics of Ayurvedic medicine with Dr. Vasant Lad in Santa Fe, and nutrition and herbology with Michael Tierra in the Garden of Sanjivani. 10 years living off-grid in Maui allowed her to learn from mentors and native healers, deepening her connection to both Qi Gong and traditional healing practices. During this time she also studied Ashtanga Yoga, which she taught for close to 30 years. In 2007, she completed her studies in acupuncture in Edmonton, where she now runs a multidisciplinary and award winning clinic. In her personal practice she integrates acupuncture, Qi Gong, nutrition, and tuning forks. In addition to her clinical work, Geha offers workshops on Qi Gong, yoga, meditation, and various health-related topics, sharing her passion for holistic healing. In a time of specialization she is dedicated to explore teachings from many different traditions whose ancient wisdom seemingly all connect in the divine vibration of love.
